Book Synopsis:

It’s been almost a full year since Ellington’s sentence was overturned. And the only thing on the devoted husband’s mind is making up for lost time with his beloved soul mirror, Eartha.

There’s just one problem…

“Ellington, I’m asking you to go…”

My Review:

First things first,

The growth of Takeah as a writer is chefs kiss. As someone who’s followed her work through the books she’s put out and the reviews she’s done for others over the last few years, I love seeing how strong her writing voice was in this novel.

Okay girl, now tell me about the story…

Now moving on to the story. I loved coming back to this couple. If you’re unfamiliar with Takeah’s work, then I’d highly recommend you read Don’t Ever Wonder before reading this gem. This storyline isn’t one that’s currently being over used by other authors and that was one of the most refreshing takeaways from this story.

And the characters?

Eartha erked my soul, but once the story continued to unfold I gave her the grace she was owed. I’ll just say be patient with her y’all lol However I am a firm believer that communication is key and she could have done better lol

Ellington. My man, my man, my man. He always came through with whatever Eartha needed, whether she realized she needed it or not. He commands attention on every page and he definitely had mine lol

To my favorite side characters, Eartha’s parents 🙌🏾 they were definitely scene stealers in the best way

Sooo do you recommend it or… ?

I already have lol 🤷🏾‍♀️ check it out and feel free to share your thoughts with me once you read it.

Thank you to the author for my advanced copy.
