Series Spotlight – The Harris Sisters by Renee A. Moses

Meet the Harris Sisters ~ Noelle, Nina, & Lyric

Nina and Mekhi Fuller have it all together on paper. Love, family, and successful careers. However, Nina being a business owner requires the type of time and commitment Mekhi isn’t ecstatic about giving up. Success demands sacrifice. Will their love for each other be enough to survive temporarily unmet needs?

Noelle Harris wants to find the type of love her parents had. Man after man, she searches for the one that will give her the love story of her dreams. Devin Simmons blows into her world, making her feel that her dream could finally come true. His prior life will challenge her hopes. But when you know what you want, you fight for it.

Lyric Phillips is an honorary Harris since she’s known Noelle and Nina since elementary. She has everything she wants: a man who loves her and multiple others that please her in any way she deems necessary. What more could she ask for?

The Harris sisters will soon find out that life can throw anything at any time. Whether they bring it on themselves or get caught in a situation beyond their control. Fall in love with these ladies on their road to happiness.

Book Synopsis:

Happily divorced with two kids and a growing business, Nina Harris Fuller has everything she worked so hard for. The only thing missing is the man of her dreams by her side. After enduring a devastating heartbreak, Nina focuses on what she has instead of searching for a love that she may never find.

Victor Ellis knows heartbreak all too well and became the friend Nina needed. As the manager at one of her restaurants, he’s grown to love her from a distance. Finding a way into Nina’s heart is not easy, but Victor’s ready to step up and be the man she needs.

My Review:

I will admit, I was a part of the crew that was hoping Nina and Mekhi worked things out. But that was definitely early on. As their story unfolded over the course of each book, I was thrilled to see how things finally played out. I love the phrase “happy looks good on you” and Nina finally got that. It was a treat to witness it unfold. Victor was love personified in all aspects that mattered most. And as always, witnessing the bond between the three women was such a joy. And the babies!! Gah. I love how those babies loved their mom. People always talk about how hard mom’s go for their kids. Which yes, there’s no love like it. But the love kids have for their mother, especially when the relationship is truly solid, it’s 🙌🏾. It reminded me of my mom and I, and anything that does that touches my heart. My mom is my best friend yall. I thought I needed closure on Nina’s story a long time ago, but getting Lyric and Elijah unexpectedly before we got to this point was worth it. Seeing the love progress between Nina and Victor and the kids was worth it. The end of this series was such a treat. Phenomenal job Renee. Y’all, read this.

Now, he’s ready to step down and move on. Breaking the news to his family may mean more trouble than it’s worth.

My Review:

The first book in this series was the first book I read from the author and I knew then that she’d be added to my list of go to reads. I picked up book 2 without reading the synopsis, because I didn’t care what was coming next. I just knew I needed more from the characters. The same with book 3 and 4, although this time around I was hoping for more on Nina and Mekhi. That wasn’t what we got, but I fell in love with what we did get. Babyyy. This book was everything. I loved Lyric and Elijah. They may just be my favorite couple of this series. I didn’t anticipate the focus on Lyric, but I’m happy that ended up being the case. She was a beautifully flawed character and I’m glad she got her happy ending. Now Elijah. Elijah gave me fine ass Ezra vibes. For those who read Love Belvin, you got the reference. Had me sitting here like, that’s a pastor, you can’t lust after that man. Lol but whew. And the icing on the cake, the side characters. I LOVE me some side characters with big personalities and we definitely got plenty of those. I’m hoping we get one more book, just for a little more closure with Nina and her babies. I FELT for those kids throughout this book. Clearly I enjoyed this read. RenĂ©e, shout-out to you. You did your thing.
