Book Synopsis:

It’s raining, it’s pouring– Wait, nobody’s snoring. They’re in the bed, or on the couch, or maybe the counter… and will definitely have a good morning.

Elsy’s sad because her work husband disappeared. He pops back up, and the weather isn’t the only thing churning.

(This is a novelette)

My Review:

This was fun, flirty and sexy as hell. But it was short, just enough to get your palette wet. But sometimes you need something like that, so this was a great segue read to get me back on my black romance train. I got sucked into another world for a week or two there 😣 and it was great lol, but back to Elsy and North!

With a shorter read, author’s have to grab your attention from the get-go and Ashley didn’t disappoint. The visuals she described made you feel as if you were right there with the characters.

Without ever meeting each other in person, Elsy and North were the other persons constant. Their connection was strong and genuine. I loved the way their physical meetup was done. It was cute and fit the relationship they had already established via their back and forth banter via chat.

With all of that being said, READ THIS. But don’t forget, it’s a novelette. So don’t expect a full length novel that you can sit with for hours. This is not that.
